Resources

David and the dbrown team have carefully curated these resources to support you as you execute on your Report Automation and Analytics build project. We use these resources ourselves in consulting engagements and in our day-to-day. Everything shared has been fully tested. We only add things here we know you will need at specific points in your journey to RA3 Guru Status!

As you will be going through this course by Module, the list of resources has been organised by module and lesson. So when you hear me mention about a tool or resource in any training video you will find that resource right here.

I know you will be eager to build your reporting automation tool, and you should, getting free of the reporting routine is a time saver like no other. What is great about RA3 is that you can implement the Framework with any software tool. But if you are to ask me for a recommendation, I will not hesistet to recommend Microsoft Power BI.

Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that combine to turn your unrelated data sources into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights. Your data may be an Excel spreadsheet or a collection of cloud-based and on-premises hybrid data warehouses. Power BI lets you easily connect to your data sources, visualize and discover what's important, and share that with anyone or everyone you want.
